Every rotation filled. Every preceptor matched.

Preceptance is the rotation and placement network for health professions education. Through OnPracticum we place everyone who needs supervised clinical hours; through Preceptorate we build and support the preceptor side that makes those hours possible.

Two sides of the same placement.

A rotation only exists when both sides are ready. Preceptance runs each side as its own division, on one network and one record.

Placement side

OnPracticum

Places everyone a licensed institution sponsors for supervised clinical hours — degree-seeking learners, career changers, internationally trained clinicians and licensed professionals adding a specialty.

  • Cohort intake with a named coordinator per institution
  • Specialty, setting and ratio matched to requirements
  • Affiliation agreements and compliance handled
  • Backup coverage if a site withdraws mid-term
Licensed to programs and employers
Preceptor side

Preceptorate

Builds and supports the preceptor side of the network — recruiting, credentialing and retaining the clinicians who supervise, and removing the administration that makes precepting a burden.

  • Paid and volunteer precepting pathways
  • Licensure verification and re-credentialing
  • CE credit and faculty appointment support
  • Learners arrive compliant, onboarded and prepared

How it works

From clinical requirement to confirmed rotation.

Programs send us their cohort and hour requirements. We source, credential and confirm the preceptor, then carry the paperwork and evaluations through to sign-off.

  1. 01

    Submit the requirement

Specialty, hours, term dates, state and compliance rules — from one individual or a full cohort.

  2. 02

    We source from the hub

Our coordinators work standing capacity first, then the wider network, matching specialty and supervision ratio.

  3. 03

    Credential and contract

Licensure verification, affiliation agreement, site onboarding and compliance documents, all handled.

  4. 04

    Track to sign-off

Hours, evaluations and preceptor attestations tracked through completion and returned to the program or board.

Disciplines

Placement across every field we can credential.

Nursing from RN-to-BSN through the doctorate, plus counseling, social work, behavior analysis, public health and health administration — and physician assistant rotations through partner programs. If supervised hours are required, we place for them.

Advanced practice nursing

NP — all tracks

FNP, AGPCNP, AGACNP, PMHNP, PNP and WHNP, with specialty, setting and preceptor credentials matched to each program's standards.

Graduate nursing

DNP and MSN

DNP practice hours and project placements, and MSN practicum for nurse educators, leaders, administrators and informatics.

Nursing

RN-to-BSN

Community and population-health, leadership and capstone practicum for registered nurses completing the BSN.

Behavioral health

Counseling and social work

Clinical mental health, marriage and family and school counseling practicum and internship, and MSW field education with licensed supervisors.

Behavior analysis

BCBA fieldwork

Supervised fieldwork with qualified BCBA supervisors, structured to the hours and supervision the BACB requires.

Public health and administration

MPH and health administration

Public health practicum and health administration internships in agencies, health systems and community organizations.

Rotation hubs

Concentrated capacity, not scattered favors.

Rather than chasing one preceptor at a time, we build hubs — health systems, clinic groups and community networks that hold standing capacity for our partner programs, with credentialing and affiliation agreements already in place.

Academic programs

Cohort capacity you can plan around.

A licence gives your program guaranteed seats across the hub network instead of term-by-term scrambling.

  • Cohort-level placement contracts
  • Accreditation-ready hour and evaluation reporting
  • Integration with your SIS and clinical tracking
Health systems and employers

Precepting without the admin.

Licensed sites run their teaching capacity through Preceptorate — agreements, onboarding and paperwork carried for them.

  • Preceptor recruitment and re-credentialing
  • CE credit and faculty appointment pathways
  • Learners arrive compliant and prepared
Regulators and workforce boards

Evidence at population scale.

Licensing bodies can use the network record to see where supervised capacity exists and where the pipeline is failing.

  • Verified supervision and hour records
  • Regional capacity and shortage reporting
  • Audit access without touching individual data

Licensed to institutions. Open to every student.

Preceptance is licensed to schools, health systems, employers and governing bodies. Students who need a placement now are placed individually through OnPracticum.

Licensing enquiries are handled by our institutional team. Existing partners should contact their account lead.
